We at Vegusto produce almost 50 different meat alternatives. There is definitely something for every taste.
Vegusto meat alternatives contain significantly less fat than most types of meat. To prevent the products from drying out on the outside of the grill, we recommend brushing vegan meat alternatives with a little vegetable oil or, even better, a marinade before and during grilling.
PS: In contrast to other vegan pestos, which simply omit the animal milk cheese, the handmade No Moo, Pestos from Vegusto contain No Moo, Mild-Aromatic (one of our most popular cheese alternatives).
We recommend using a grill tray, grill plate or other tray. A grating is not ideal. The meat alternatives tend to stick to a wire rack and the marinade drips directly into the embers.
We recommend indirect grilling at a low temperature (100 - 150 °C). The hearty meat alternatives from Vegusto do not have to be cooked through like meat. Heating for 3 to 5 minutes is completely sufficient. Of course, the meat alternatives can also be enjoyed “raw” directly from the package.
The casing of most sausages is not edible! Therefore, under no circumstances should you fry the vegan sausages with the casing on! Except of course our vegan sausages with edible casings. [Order No:120]
PS: The vegan sausages from Vegusto can be boiled with the casing. This can be done very quickly with a kettle.

Most No Moo, blocks are suitable for purely plant-based grilling. This is because all our cheese alternatives are based on potatoes and rice. Simply try them out. For starters, we recommend No Moo, Piquant or No Moo, Golden.
Cut the no-moo block in half lengthways and grill on the barbecue for about 4 minutes on each side.

Here are some thoughts on why vegan grilling just makes sense these days.
Vegan grilling avoids the exploitation and suffering of animals. Many people choose a vegan diet because they don't want animals to be killed for their food.
By avoiding animal products, you are helping to ensure that more food resources are used efficiently, which is just fair as long as so many people in the world are hungry.
A plant-based diet can reduce the risk of heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure and certain types of cancer.
Plant foods do not contain cholesterol, which can contribute to a healthier cardiovascular system.
Purely plant-based foods are often rich in fiber, which is good for digestion and general well-being.
The production of plant-based foods causes significantly fewer greenhouse gas emissions than the production of animal products.
The production of plant-based foods generally requires significantly less water than the production of meat and other animal products.
Less land is needed to grow plants than to raise animals. This allows more natural habitats to be preserved.
Vegan grilling offers the opportunity to prepare a variety of creative and tasty dishes that go beyond traditional grilling.
When grilling vegetables, tofu, seitan or plant-based burgers, there is often less sticky residue left on the grill, making cleaning easier.
Purely plant-based dishes can be enjoyed by all guests, including those with food allergies.
The world of plant-based foods is huge and invites you to discover new flavors.
Meat tastes neutral, only the preparation and a good marinade make it a great taste experience. The same applies to plant-based delights: here too, a good marinade is simply essential.
In summary, vegan grilling not only offers health and ecological benefits, but also contributes to a more conscious and sustainable lifestyle.
