Tips for the Vegusto Grill

The vegan sausages, burgers or slices (meat loaf) from Vegusto are perfect for grilling. Whether with a grill pan, a small folding grill, a gas grill or over the glow, vegan meat alternatives from Vegusto remain firm to the bite and are perfect for any barbecue. Barbecue skewers with a bit of Vegusto, vegetables and fruit are also a popular dish for everyone.

Preparation

Vegusto products contain about 10-15% fat, much less than most meats. To prevent them from sticking to the grill, we recommend brushing the products generously with vegetable oil or with an oil-spice marinade before and during grilling. It is ideal to use a grill tray or wrap the products in aluminium foil. When grilling, pay attention to us low temperatures.

Folding grill:
Set the temperature of the folding grill to the highest setting. Place the well oil-covered products on the hot folding grill and cover it with the lid.
Grill for 1 to 2 minutes until brown to dark brown grill marks form on the surface.

Grill pan:
Heat the grill pan on high heat. Place the products turned in the oil in the grill pan. Fry for about half a minute per side.

Above the embers / gas:
Only grill when the fire is no longer burning.
Take a double-folded piece of aluminium foil or a grill tray and pour some oil on it. Grill the food on the foil until a golden brown crust appears.

Grill skewers:
Chop up ingredients, cut into cubes or slices and mix in a bowl with a little oil and salt.
Put all the ingredients on the skewers in any order.
Pour or brush generously with oil on all sides.
Grill the skewers slowly for about 7-9 minutes. In a folding grill, about 5 minutes is enough.
Make sure that the skewers are not grilled too hot; medium heat is sufficient.

Vegusto products do not have to be cooked through like meat. A short amount of time on the grill is sufficient for heating.
