Treat yourself with Vegusto: Recipe No. 291
Absolutely delicious! Vegan cheese alternatives and baked apples make for a wonderful combination of sweet and savoury. For the filling, we use the melt-in-the-mouth No Muh, pizza sauce and No Muh, Classic. This mixture has a flavour reminiscent of Camembert and goes perfectly with the fruity aroma of the still-warm apples.
Ingredients for 4 Pieces
4 small apples (approx. 130 g each)
100 g No Muh, Pizza Sauce [Order No: 409]
50 g No Muh, Blue Classic [Order No: 400]
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 180 °C (fan).
Meanwhile, wash and dry the apples, then cut out the core.
Now cut a 1.5 cm thick lid off the end of each apple where the stalk was.
Set the four lids aside.
Next, use a knife to remove the core from each apple. Feel free to hollow them out a little more generously so that the No Muh filling has plenty of room inside the apples.
Grease an ovenproof dish with a little margarine or line it with baking paper.
For the filling, mix the pizza sauce and the grated No Muh, Blue Classic in a bowl.
Spoon this mixture into the apples and top with the apple lids.
Bake the stuffed apples for 35–40 minutes, until a knife can be easily inserted into the flesh.
